Work Experience
November, 24 – present – The Zero Poverty Uttar Pradesh Abhiyan is a flagship state initiative aimed at eradicating extreme poverty and assuring income for the poorest families; as an associate: program analysis and policy research, he was involved in proposing and conceptualising the performance-guaranteed skilling framework under UPSDM, aligning training curricula with real-time labour market analytics, employer demand, and Centre of Excellence models, thereby linking youth from ultra-poor households to assured livelihood opportunities and strengthening the Abhiyan’s technology-enabled tracking and placement system. He also contributed in conveying government orders into baseline reports, mapped household-level guaranteed outcomes, developed monitoring dashboards, and worked with block administrations and Gram Panchayats to verify disbursements and identify reporting gaps.
Internships
June – August, 24 – He worked as a research intern at Invest UP, the nodal agency of the Government of Uttar Pradesh for investment promotion and facilitation. His assignment focused on analyzing sectoral Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) trends in Uttar Pradesh and benchmarking the state against leading investment destinations such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. He carried out sectoral studies on agriculture, food processing, textiles, and handlooms, identifying bottlenecks in land policy, skill gaps, and regulatory overlaps. He also prepared policy recommendations on land facilitation, sector-specific incentives, and skilling reforms. His work involved consultations with officials of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and industry stakeholders.
May – June, 23 – He worked as an intern with Nearby Technologies Private Limited (PayNearby), a leading fintech enterprise in India’s digital financial inclusion ecosystem. His work focused on analysing Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) programmes, the role of corporate business correspondents, and the operational viability of Aadhaar-enabled payment systems (AePS) and micro-ATMs. He studied leading DBT schemes such as MGNREGA, PM Ujjwala Yojana, and PM Fasal Bima Yojana, and compared them with international Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) models from Brazil, Mexico, and the Philippines. His field observations provided insights into the challenges of financial inclusion, such as connectivity gaps, low enrolment, and inefficient grievance redressal. This engagement enhanced his understanding of the intersection between technology, welfare delivery, and last-mile financial access
December, 2021 –He worked as an intern in the social media and research cell of the UP wing of Aam Aadmi Party. During this time, he got exposed to the internal workings, the research that goes behind and the preparations required for any public address of a political party. He helped in the research work for various press-conferences and public addresses during the time.
